Taking place last night at the arena in downtown La-La Land was the first I-5 Freeway Faceoff of your 2016-17 Big-League Ice-Hockey season; it was all one-way traffic, with your Anaheim Ducks in the driver’s seat the entire way, cruising to a 4-nil win over your Kings. Another thriller at the arena last night: Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby (87) had two goals on fine setups from Kris Letang, but it was La-Land’s Nic Dowd who bamboozled hapless Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury in overtime to score the gamewinner.
