Good atmosphere for holiday, twi-night béisbol last night at the Ravine. Clayton Kershaw went 7 innings, the first six of them without allowing a base hit, and struck out 11, and Los Doyers opened up a 4-nil lead and forced the visiting D’backs down to their last 3 outs. However, shaky relief in the 9th surrendered 3 Ariz. runs, and the home side had to sweat a little before securing a 4-3 victory. Kershaw improved his record to 13-2 on the season. Continue reading
