All right, all right, ya’ frankfurter fans! Take it easy! We could not let this Nat’l Hot Dog Day pass without letting you know that a La-La Land culinary (so to speak) institution is back on the scene.

Dodger Dogs at the stadium are worshipped by the many, but, from a taste standpoint, it’s basically like stretching-out a Vienna sausage and inserting it into folded-up a piece of Wonder Bread. Sorry, Doyers! We’ll eat them as a fetishized act of going to the béisbol, but that’s all.

Also, it was meant to read, in yesterday’s post, IKEA, not Idea. IKEA. F—in’ predictive text & AutoCorrect! F!

BestLine Racing Society Recap

No joy today at The Belterra in Cincinnatuh. Very sorry.

Hard times also at The Saratoga in Saratoga Spgs., N.Y., at least until Race 9, one of ’em patented BestLine Racing Society Live Longshot Races. In that one, #6 Dream Central (.193 Win Prob / 4.18-1 Fair Odds / 6.25-1 Premium Odds) did it for noted N.Y-bred-only-race upsetter trainer Gary Shocka…SHOCKA! That winner paid $21.40.

Then the finale was one of the other kind: the patented BestLine Racing Society Strongshot Race. Its listed selection was #6 Blinding Light (.446 / 1.24 / 1.69), who was your 2-1 morning line fave.

Yet the crowd was likely in get-out mode, and ’Light was not that bright on the toteboard, going off at 5-1. And he won at $12-even. The best of all possible worlds: a listed strongshot somehow dismissed by the wagering public.

The last daily double of the day paid $137.50; its premium price was $39-even. That’s a nice bonus.

Also, never forget that unless your age is in the single-digit range, ketchup on a hot dog is never a winning play. Not even if you are Don Trump Sr.
