So long, 2016! Goodbye!

Happy New Year to yourself!

Made a switch away from the usual Veuve Clicquot. Perrier-Laurent is a tad sweeter and fruitier, but still brut enough. So, to 2017 then! Drink-up! Here’s to health, happiness, prosperity, etc. and all that nonsense — cheers! Over here, the liver and both kidneys are begging for mercy; nonetheless, they are functioning at full capacity, thank Allah. Allahu akbar: God is great.

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 9
Gulfstream Park Proper 8, 9, 10
Santa Anita 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Fair Grounds 7, 10
Golden Gate 4, 5, 8, 9
Laurel 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Sunland 8 has #5 Laugh It Up as one of ’em Live Longshot-type plays. Next race there, and #7 He’s Another Who and #8 El Tule serve that purpose too.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuel $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (1/0) — Visiting Blueshirt Rangers triple-up on Colorado, 6-2; Chris Kreider had the hat-trick.

Delta (2/1) — Crazy finale, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads could flip Missie’s Wild Card into the winner’s circle; the race had a grand total of zero horseys breaking the 60s in either the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis or LifeLiner Spread Column analysis — hoo-boy! She defaulted to a 1¼-length win at $29.60. Not-so-good work, unfortunately.

Fair Grounds (1/0) — NOPD beefs-up security for New Year’s Eve.

Golden Gate (0/0) — Visiting Sharks edged by La-La Land, 3-2; Brent Burns and Kevin Labanc scored for San Jose.

Gulf (3/0) — Visiting Panthers triple-up on Dallas, 3-1; Florida’s Jaromir Jagr, still in the league, was the game’s First Star, tallying a goal and an assist.

Hawthorne (0/0) — Host Bulls lose to Milwaukee, 116-96; Jimmy Butler led Chicagoland with 26 pts.

Laurel (0/0) — Visiting Capitals triple-up Nueva Hersey, 6-2; Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist in for Wash., D.C.

Keystone (2/½) — Old-School Champeens only had a petal to the mettle of Spring Flower, Fair Odds of 6-1 in a contentious Race 6; she won by a clean half-length at $30-even. Good work.

Santa Anita (2/0) — Host Kings edge San Jose, 3-2; Tanner Pearson, Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter scored for La-La Land.

Tampa (2/0) — Host Lightning triple-up on Carolina, 3-1; Brian Boyle, Jonathan Drouin and Alex Killorn had the Tampa Bay goals.

Turfway (0/0) — Rapid Fired Pizza coming to Florence.

Turf Paradise (0/0) — Coyotes doubled-up by host Calgary, 4-2; Brendan Perlini and Martin Hanzal were the Ariz. goalscorers.
