Again, we do not generally glom on to the daily Zeitgeist of the Interwebsz. However, this thing we’re posting the link for, well, it’s simply too good to pass up. It will make you laugh.

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but Rafa ‘The Bull’ Nadal & Mme. Sugarpova take to the melting asphalt hardcourts for your Day 4 of the professional tennis Down Under.

Yesterday’s Activity: Funny game, touting.

Take Race 11 yesterday at the Sunland. Four horseys touted, yet could not make the 20-1 winner! It was an honourable mention for Second Bonkersmate (third-touted) One Big Ticket, beaten 1 ¾ lengths at 11-1. As well, top-touted Take a Knee ran third, also at 11-1. Second and third!

Four horseys, no winners. But then you have a race where you go for the single longshot, as in the sole-recommended Thunder Agard in Race 8 at the selfsame Sunland.

Thunder Agard, seventh of eight horseys on the conventional V6 Betting Line, nonetheless deserved some merit for having the third-best LifeLiner Speed Column score in the field, 81. Thunder Agard was 8-1 on the morning line and 20-1 in real life.

Thunder Agard found something extra in the lane to win by a lunging neck at $43.40 straight.

The runner-up was OK on LifeLiner, and the gettable perfecta returned $169-even, for $2.

Then, over to Arizona for Race 7 at Turf Paradise. Another lone tout in that race, Locomotive Breath, the only horsey sanctioned.

Locomotive Breath, top-ranked on the V6 Betting Line (Fair Odds of 2½-1) and second-rated on LifeLiner Speed Column (84), was 8-1 on the morning line but 5-1 on the toteboard when the bell rang.

Locomotive Breath, complete LifeLiner array of 94-94-84, sped to the front and improved his position from there, winning by 3½ and paying $13.60 up top.

The race’s top LifeLiner Speed Column horsey completed the $51.60 exacta.

Funny game, touting.
