Several post-press-time connections to report from last night’s (Saturday’s) late action. At Chas. Town, W.Va., #3 Cajun Joe (.201 / 3.98 / 4.97) won Race 6 for Acadia & The Delta at $12.60. At Nisku, Edmonton, Alta., #9 Tennessee Moses (.456 / 1.19 / 1.63) took Race 9 at $7-even; completing your winning $12.50 exacta was #12 Dontbringmedown (.347 / 1.88 / 2.46), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $11.27. At Opelousas, La., #5 Duke of Carthania (.100 / 9.00 / 13.00) upset Race 8 for the Warlords of Chaos at $35.80. At Collinsville, Ill., #3 Skip the Formality (.311 / 2.22 / 2.86) got right down to business in Race 2 at $18.40; in Race 8 there, the finale, #2 Hot Dame (.275 / 2.64 / 3.36) was your equine smokeshow at $17.20.

As for today (Sunday), some of the races went like this…

Race 2 on a big Stanton, Del., card went to #4 Causes Trouble (.241 / 3.15 / 3.98) at $19-even.

From Race 8 in Henderson, Ky., #8 King’s Glory (.151 / 5.62 / 8.27) grabbed all of it at $26.84.

At Auburn, Wash., #4 Atomic Candy (.486 / 1.06 / 1.47) was glowingly sweet to his Race 4 backers at $5.22.

To Fort Erie, Ont., for Race 5, which #5 Vinnie Van Go (.529 / 0.89 / 1.27) won for Arles at $7.10. In Race 6, #6 Mister Banjoman (.247 / 3.05 / 3.86) won it for Earl Scruggs at $9.90.

Race 4 in action out of Hallandale Beach, Fla., went to #6 Patty’s Having Fun (.243 / 3.12 / 4.76) at $15.80.

To Stickney, Ill. for Race 6, and #5 Church Pew (.163 / 5.13 / 7.59) fittingly coming through on a Sunday at $63.80.

#4 Ballyhoo Prince (.209 / 3.78 / 4.74) was sufficiently royal in Laurel, Md.’s Race 5 at $27.80.

From Oceanport, N.J., news of #1 Bargaining Power (.272 / 2.68 / 3.41) and #7 Fly Fly Away (.304 / 2.29 / 2.95) combining on your winning $33.80 exacta in Race 2, with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $26.01.
