‘AND RESILIENCE WINS IT FOR THE DUCHY OF GRAND FENWICK!’

Hard to do. Leafy greens & egg yolks are said to improve visual acuity, along with not squinting at printed past performances. Try it!

BestLine Racing Society Recap:

Some post-press-time connections to report from last night’s (Saturday’s) late action: At Louisville, Ky., one more winner via #4 Raging Torrent (.151 Win Prob / 5.62-1 Fair Odds / 6.95-1 Premium Odds) in Race 13 at $19.32. At Chas. Town, W.Va., #4 Happy Clouds (.207 / 3.83 / 5.76) brought a silver lining to the Race 7 winner’s circle at $20-even; completing your winning $59-even exacta was #1 Lightnin Runner, with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $42.27. At Arcadia, Calif., #3 Gold Phoenix (.208 / 3.81 / 4.77) won Race 7 for all the Greek mythological figures immortalized in the names of U.S. cities at $13.80; completing your winning $127.20 exacta was #8 Prince Abama (.168 / 4.95 / 7.33), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $79.46. Speaking of Phoenix (at Bell Rd. in the one in Arizona), #8 I’m Noble (.145 / 5.90 / 8.66) ran to that billing in Race 9 at $52.60.

As for today (Sunday), no 27-track, 240-plus-race hysterics on the docket. As that mope sings in the song, something about being easy on the morning of this day of the week.

Starting with the opener from Albany, Calif., where #3 Getaway Charm (.385 / 1.60 / 2.12) got away to a win at $6.20; granted, that was 4¢ shy of the premium price of $6.24, but we cannot blame you if you left that quartet of pennies as a tribute on The Altar of The God of Doing Business Via The Parimutuels, since you were still getting your 2.10-1 — we report, you decide!

Over to Hallandale Beach, Fla., for Race 8, in which #6 Sin for a Season (.274 / 2.65 / 3.38) got the win for a reason at $8.80

In the Hot Springs, Ark., opener on Closing Day there, #1 Rocket Sanders (.327 / 2.06 / 2.67) won it for Raghib Ismail & Neon Deion at 3½-1 but paid $5.20 in a dead heat for the win — what can you do? Next race there, #7 True Princess (.169 / 4.92 / 6.10) wore the crown at $21.60; completing your winning $84.80 exacta was #5 Toffee (.183 / 4.46 / 5.56), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $80.03. In Race 6, #1 Wind of Change (.241 / 3.15 / 3.98) blew into the winner’s circle at $12.80. In the finale, for both the meet and this card, which, numerically, meant Race 11 today, #9 Indian Gulch (.116 / 7.62 / 9.34) closed ’em out at $21-even.

To Arcadia again, this time for today’s Race 2, where #4 Slew’s Joy (.309 / 2.24 / 2.88) and #2 Starship Chewbacca (.298 / 2.36 / 3.70) combined on your winning $50.20 exacta whose premium price was $27.07. Next race there, #2 All That Glory (.602 / 0.66 / 0.99) was all that in a $4.20 win.

Race 4 from Etobicoke Int’l. went to #5 Echo With Laughter (.144 / 5.94 / 8.72) at $19.90.
