BestLine Racing Society Recap:
One post-press-time connection to report from last night’s (Friday’s) late action: At Opelousas, La., on Opening Night (!), Race 2 went to #4 River Raft (.138 Win Prob / 6.25-1 Fair Odds / 9.14-1 Premium Odds) at the whitewater-rapid price of $76.60; completing your winning $414.80 exacta was #2 Calibrachoamatters (.173 / 4.78 / 5.94), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $126.86.
As for today (Saturday), everything was in-play, except for spotlight-averse outlets like Fonner & Sam Houston etc.
Starting with Ozone Park, N.Y., and the opener there; in it, #1 Laser Sharp (.461 / 1.17 / 1.60) and #3 Aleah Aleah (.284 / 2.52 /3.93) combined on your winning $28.80 exacta whose premium price was $15.77. In Race 3, #2B Gut Feeling (.311 / 2.22 / 2.86) made good on that intuition with a $9.10 win.
This year’s Opelousas, La., meet got underway last night, but tonight it was #6 Big Tap Baby (.365 / 1.74 / 2.29) coming through in Race 2 on Night 2 at $8.80.
From Albany, Calif., #1 Tamara Mine (.398 / 1.51 / 2.02) prevailed in Race 2 at a valuable 2-1 but paid $3.20 in a dead heat for the win.
To Hallandale Beach, Fla., for Race 6, in which #7 Confer (.198 / 4.05 / 6.07) did no such thing with his rivals when it came to winning at $15.80.
Race 3 on the Stickney, Ill., card went to #2 Electric Charge (.309 / 2.24 / 2.88) at a mildly shocking $16-even; completing your winning $33.40 exacta was #3 Euclid Avenue (.247 / 3.05 / 4.67), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $32.65.
Race 3 from Laurel, Md., had #5 Moncrief (.280 / 2.57 / 3.29) winning it for the ex-NBALLER named Sidney at $8.60. In Race 5, #7 Determined Princess (.325 / 2.08 / 2.69) ran to that billing, leading to the wire at $8.60.
#7 On a Spree (.298 / 2.36 / 3.03) won Race 7 at Hot Springs, Ark., for the notorious coach-strangler and ex-NBALLER named Latrell at $11.80. In Race 11, the finale, #7 Kant Believe It (.221 / 3.52 / 4.43) showed sufficient belief at $13.40.
At Arcadia, Calif., Race 2 was lousy with first-timers, allowing the best of the experienceds, #4 Ball Don’t Lie (.662 / 0.51 / 0.81), to get away at $6.60.
