A couple of post-press-time connections to report from last night’s (Thursday’s) late action. At Chas. Town, W.Va., #1 Ria Formosa (.251 Win Prob / 2.98-1 Fair Odds / 3.78-1 Premium Odds) won it for the Algarve at $15.60. In Race 7, #1 American Symphony (.247 / 3.05 / 3.86) won it for the New York Philharmonic, or the Philadelphia Orchestra, etc. at $10.40.
Today (Friday) we begin with the shake, rattle & roll of the finale from Ozone Park, in which #8 Whenlovetakesover (.157 / 5.37 / 7.92) overtook her rivals at $23.20.
At Hot Springs, Ark. the opener went to #7 Bodi Odi (.583 / 0.72 / 1.06) at $27.40.
At Oldsmar, Fla., Race 2 was won by #4 Sing Scat (.284 / 2.52 / 3.93) at $10.40.
Opening Day at Lexington, Ky., now, and Race 6 saw #6 Glengarry (.267 / 2.75 / 3.49) winning it for David Mamet, Jack Lemmon & Alec Baldwin at $13.56; completing your winning $60.86 exacta was #7 Who Dey (.191 / 4.24 / 6.33), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $51.16.
Laurel, Md., had Race 9, its finale, #4 La Sierva C (.215 / 3.65 / 4.58) get the W at $17.60.
