Glad we stayed home last night and caught the game on the television instead. The laughter was unstoppable! Snoop Doggy Dogg! Snoop Dogg! Snoop!
Remember going to a Pavement concert here in La-La Land a long time ago, way before SOcial MEdia, and Stockton’s own Stephen Malkmus was just trolling everything about the gangster aspects of the City of Angels. To wit, he took the stage wearing not a Raiders jersey but one from the Rams, even before they split for St. Louis. Then in the song ‘Range Life’, that part at the end when he’s supposed to be ragging on The Smashing Pumpkins and The Stone Temple Primates, he instead sings: ‘Out on tour with Arrested Development/Ghetto kids living in a tenement’ and then ‘Snoop Doggy Dogg/He’s an elegant bachelor/He’s foxy to me/Is he foxy to you’?
It might not have happened exactly that way — after all, the night was hazy — but that’s how memory recalls it lo those many years ago.
