New-track alert! New-track alert!
Now that we’ve shaken off the shackles of time-and-format restraints, we can do neat things like this:
Churchill Downs opened today. Yeah, Louisville. Good city. Good integration. Home to Dr. Hunter S. Thompson and Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali. That’s a quality city right there. Not to mention birthplace of The Slugger & The Downs. Swing for the fences!
Yea, verily, do it now while the meet is fresh. To wit, check out Races 5 & 6 today there, back-to-back jacks! Race 5 was contentious, but Pocketfullofgreen (HELLO, HONEYMAN®!) had a handful of win-probability via her OK 83 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. Well, yeah, she somehow got the lead to go gate-to-wire to win by 1¾ at $45.40. Did you have her? Well, that’s good!
Next race, raceday scratches put Grats Road atop the conventional All-In-One V6 Betting Line in a contentious race, Fair Odds of 3-1. As well, ’Grats was now best on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. She was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by a clean head at $34.60. You had her, too? Well, that’s even better!
Best of all, your natural daily double paid $1,106, for $2. We know you had that!
So, there’s your new-track alert for today and for the next week or so. Proceed with abandon. Go with God, alight with Allah.
Stakes in the action this evening at Canterbury and Remington. Race 12 at the former has a cold-puncher’s box of #2 Way Striking, #6 Ruffolo. No, that pairing will not return anything close to $1,106. Regrets!
Also a cold-puncher’s box in Remington 5, but without any morning-line favorite to be concerned with: #4 Firetail, #2 Go Apple Jack. In the eighth there, it appears contentious (through the conventional Betting Line), but might not be (according to LifeLiner Speed & Spread): either way, #6 Witt’sdollarnight is among the quick.
OK. We examined the past, looked to the future and did both while present: a gift. Hoo-boy, these rooms are really playing some tricks on us!
Enjoy your Friday, then. Willing to contribute again tomorrow.
