A favourite question in ’murrikan Journalism: ‘Why Is This Man Indian Smiling’?

Also in current MLB streaks, La-La Land (N.L.) up to 2 now. Break-up Los Doyers!

Today we visit Kentucky Downs, always an interesting venue for overflow fields, tricky course conditions and general Thoroughbred excitement. There’s a stakes-race daily double on Races 8 & 9. The former should be down to three contenders: #5 Kitten’s Cat, #1 Secretary at War, #9 Sonic Boom — no great imagination there.

To cash a daily double, you need to include the winner of each leg. So while the first half of the wager might not include any conventional win-bet overlays, that’s forgivable if you are able to scout out the value in the second half. Which is precisely what you encounter in Race 9 today. Five contenders emerge from the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis and the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, but for added value we mention one of them — the other four, you’ll have to divine on your own; regrets! As for the one we’ll mention, she’s a Dual Qualifier atop the line, #11 La Piba. Can she win? Obviously. Will she? Probably not! That’s the great game of horseracing for you. Again, she’s just the single mention; there are a handful of others in there at good odds who are Single- or Dual Qualifiers for you to deduce by yourself. Happy hunting!
