Apologies to Saint Anthony of Padua, whose Feast Day was yesterday — and we neglected to commemorate it the way we always do. Anthony, you are the Patron of Lost Things, and so we pray to you for all sorts of recoveries. Yup.

Also, Flag Day. As the Grateful Dead sang it in U.S. Blues: ‘Wave the flag, pop the bag, rock the boat, skin the goat./Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.’

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 2

Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…

Delpark 2, 3, 4, 6
Louisiana 3, 4, 5, 7
Woodbine 4, 5, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: One today at Delpark, no advisories. Probably best for all of us.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Fort Erie (0/0) — Fire-safety programme kicks off in Wainfleet.

Finger (1/1) — The finale was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads went to battle with Dual Qualifier Warrior One (99, 96) on their side; she had to rally a little, though, before winning by 3 at $20.40. Good work.

Fairmount (1/1) — Race 4 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads went with the Frank Stronach Hunch Play Star Magna, just good enough on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; she was a deep-rallier, however, winning by 1¾ at $27-even. Good work.

Indiana (0/0) — State trooper loses hat — but not his life — in interstate close call in Indpls.

Louisiana (2/0) — Shreveport police identify suspect in shooting on Egan St.

Mountain (1/½) — Old-School Champeens had a contentious Race 6, with Fair Odds of 4½-1 on Stormy Sandy, who was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by 2¼ at $24-straight. Good work.

Keystone (2/1) — Race 3 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a bare-minimum 80 on the LifeLiner Speed Column on Fevered Affair; he rallied like the champion he’s on his way to becoming, winning by 2¼ at $34.60. Good work.

Presque (1/0) — Drug bust and shooting Monday night in Erie.
