Sisters are doin’ it for themselves! Venus & Serena, making American Tennis Great Since 1994, when Don Trump Sr. was in the middle of a most miraculous business transaction: losing money operating a casino. Wonder if the caudillo (thanks for that one, Mistah Chas. P. Pierce!) will will have anything to say about the Williams, given that one of them will win the big lawn-tennis tournament in Melbourne early Saturday morning. Or maybe neither one of them sufficiently fits his idea of a tennis champion as suggested by central casting. Oh, well.
However, if he does mention the Williams as a shining example of ’murrikan exceptionalism, well, then, fair play to him, and we take everything back awful we ascribe to himself. Maybe.

Yesterday’s Activity:
Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Chas. Town (1/0) — 2 Berkeley Co. gentlemen clubs set to reopen.
Delta (3/1) — Race 5 was contentious, and players of all stripes ate ’em up with Syrup Cake, Fair Odds of 4-1 and an 88 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis; she raced mane-to-wire anyway, winning by 1¾ at $21.20. Good work.
Fair Grounds (2/0) — NOPD motorcycle officer injured in crash.
Golden Gate (0/0) — Host Sharks drubbed by Edmonton, 4-1; Logan Couture’s 17th goal of the season was the extent of the San Jose offense.
Gulf (4/1) — The finale was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads dipped their toe into Dual Qualifier Exclusive Lake (81, 84); he went gate-to-wire to win by a clean head at $20.40. Good work.

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…
Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Tennis is good for yourself. Try playing it sometime, especially outdoors in the middle of winter.
