(N.B. The Week is a balanced source, preferring logos and ethos over pure pathos or ideology. The Week airs all viewpoints, as long as they are coherent and can be reasonably defended. Thank you.)

How’s things going on in the Rust Belt these days? Robots and automatons not dark-skinned enough, so how can you hate on them? Now what?

Autocrat, kleptocrat
Sis, boom, bah!
Don Trump Senior is laughing,
‘Ha ha ha’!

We’ll leave it to you to figure out at whom he’s laughing.

As well, John Glenn, R.I.P. Too good for this world, and now he’s out of it — again, for good this time. Vale!

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (2/1) — The finale was contentious, and only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads could sing the praises of Playthatfunnymusic (white boy!), an OK 82 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; he was already leading at the quarter-pole and held on by a clean neck at $40-even. Good work.

Chas. Town (1/1) — Proud Dalton was good enough at 80 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis for the High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads in a noncontentious Race 2; she was a stalking-horse throughout and won by 1 at $53.80. Good work.

Delta (2/1) — Race 3 was contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads could land at Cottonport, the best LifeLiner Spread Column analysis rating in the field; he was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by 2 at $20.80. Good work.

Fair Grounds (1/0) — Host Pelicans lose to Philalala, 99-88; New Orleans’ Anthony Davis led all scorers with 26 pts.

Golden Gate (2/1) — Race 6 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads took up Dual Qualifier Jen’s Journey (90, 82); he was a stalking-horse throughout, winning by a clean neck at $31.60. Good work.

Gulf (3/1) — The finale was contentious, and players of all stripes were OK with first-timer Maria and Beto, Fair Odds of 6-1 and with a connection-line/slashline readout of 16pc/16pc/33pc; she was in the firing line by the quarter-pole en route to a 1¼-length win at $86.40. Good work.

Los Alamitos (2/0) — Main Street Electrical Parade returning to Disneyland for limited engagement.

PennNat (1/0) — Streaking Flyers win 7th in row, beat visiting Edmonton, 6-5; Claude Giroux had 2 goals an an assist for Philalala.
