All right, all right, ya Roman Catholics — even the lapsed ones such as ourselves. Take it easy! If you still practice the faith, don’t forget that today is a Holy Day of Obligation: the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Amen.

Free ones: Rundown…

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but a pair of similar-record Big-League Ice Hockey teams face-off this evening in Philalala, with the Flyers (33 pts. in 28 games) hosting the Oilers (32 in 28). Skate safely.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (3/1½) — Race 2 was contentious, but only Old-School Champeens could find the bomb on Battle Midway, Fair Odds of 3-1; he won by 2½ at $24-even. In the finale, also contentious, it was time for the High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads to get in on Justenufflaughter, a field-best 91 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis; he won giggling by 3 at $39.80. Good work.

Chas. Town (2/0) — Historic McFarland House opens new upscale restaurant.

Delta (3/0) — Blood left at burglary scene leads to arrest of Lake Chas. man.

Gulf (2/½) — Old-School Champeens struck again via Loving Valentina, Fair Odds of 6-1 in a contentious ninth; she won by 1¼ at $33.40. Good work.

Mahoning (2/1) — The opener was contentious and open to all comers, courtesy of Dual Qualifier Alphonse (sans Gaston, 82, 87), Fair Odds of 5-1; he went gate-to-wire to win by 4¾ at $29-straight. Good work.

PennNat (2/0) — 3 accused drug-dealers arrested in Lebanon Co.

Tampa (2/1) — Race 4 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a good-enough 81 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; he was a stalking-horse throughout, winning by 1½ at $26.20. Good work.

Turfway (3/1) — Race 7 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a fine 84 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis on Leave It in Vegas, who had to rally, though, before winning by a clean nose at $26.40. Good work.

Turf Paradise (1/1) — A victory for all in Race 6, with Nevadan, Fair Odds of 4-1 and a field-best 86 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a contentious lineup, going gate-to-wire to win by 3¾ at $25.20. Good work.
