Facebook out! Between its bombardment of ads and the recent mass die-off and the endless self-congratulations and ceaseless self-promotion and the quote-unquote news and the overall (time)-suckiness of this monstrosity, it should be apparent by now that there are probably better things to do with your computer. Do you really want to consent to having your online activity profited-on by someone else, being monetized away from you just because you want to ‘like’ something or get some likes back? It doesn’t sound like a good transaction. Then again, removing ourselves from it was not too difficult, given that we are social misfits anyway and highly reclusive by nature, not to mention virtually friendless — and IRL, too! Ah, well…

Yea, verily, they say Facebook is a good, nae great, marketing tool, but there’s more to life than just grabbing every last shekel. A billion’s cool, but so’s a soul. And there are plenty of CEOs out there who don’t have to add an expletive after their title. Facebook out!

Kinko’s founder Paul Orfeala stated it pretty well: ‘There’s no point in bragging in the good times. Your friends don’t need to hear it and your enemies won’t believe it anyway.’ Facebook out!

Also, google not getting away scot-free here. Better to use DuckDuckGo for search. Then again, we have always been contrary. Facebook out, DuckDuckGo in! We don’t need these guys to sell us out. Facebook out, google out!
