Good tussle last night at the arena. La-La Land made it three extra-time home victories in a row, beating Nashville 3-2 in OT. Jeff Carter had the gamewinner.

The finale was contentious, and the Old-School Champeens were invited to take part — along with the Chancers and the Eggheads, of course — in Magsamelia, top of the V6 Betting Line at Fair Odds of 3½-1 and a Dual Qualifier (83, 83); she took over by the furlong-grounds to win by 1¾ at $21.20. Good work.

Calder (1/0) — Visiting Panthers edged by Toronto, 3-2; Jonathan Marchessault had both Florida goals.

Chas. Town (2/1) — Race 3 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads were OK with Annies Alliance, who had an acceptable number in the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; however, she had to rally to win by 2 at $20.20. Good work.

Delta (1/1) — Chancers and Eggheads only for the contentious Race 7’s E Z’s All Attitude, who had a field-best rating on the LifeLiner Spread Column; he was not too fast early but got going in time, winning by 6¾ at $20-even. Good work.
