If Theo’s lyin’, you-know-who is cryin’ — at least on the inside, beneath the scowl.

Hoo-boy. That was some most excellent passive-aggressive ju-jitsu on the biggest political stage last night. Wonder if how many times you-know-who has pulled that sort of stunt on somebody else. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving character. As well, can’t imagine Citizen Bernie following Theo’s lead in about a week from now and damning Slick Hillie with such faint praise. Hoo-boy. Theo. Cruise doin’ it for Amurrika! Firin’ up Amurrika! Yee-haw! Tejas! Wooooooooooooooo! Oh, the humanity…

Free ones: Rundown…

Gulfstream Park Proper 5, 6, 7, 9
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 6, 7

Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…

Arlington 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Belterra 6
Delpark 4, 5
Louisiana 1

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but you-know-who will be accepting his nomination this evening Cleveland in Ohio.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Albuquerque (1/0) — City police identify body found in alley.

Assiniboia (0/0) — Inmate at Sask. Penitentiary dies.

Delpark (1/0) — DuPont’s end near as shareholders OK merger.

Del Mar (1/1) — Publicly touted Why Two, one of many with the OK 80+ rating on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis in a contentious field in Race 5, rallied like the champion he’s on his way to becoming, winning by a clean head at $29.20. For good measure, similarly publicly touted Bottle Rocket, looking similarly similar to ’Two on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, also similarly rallied to complete your similarly publicly touted $345.80 exacta (for $2). Good work.

Evangeline (0/0) — I-10 West open at Butte Larose after multiple-vehicle crash.

Finger (0/0) — Gas leak under control in Canandaigua.

Indiana (3/1) — Race 3 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers, perhaps inspired by Gov. Mike Pence’s endorsement of Sen. Theo. Cruz (R.-Tex.) in the Hoosier State’s presidential primary in April, saw the field-best 92 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis on Mr. Unanonymous, who indeed went gate-to-wire to win by 2¼ at $30.20. Good work.

Louisiana (1/0) — Suspect named in shooting of Shreveport teen.

Mountain (0/0) — Summer road projects kick-off around Wheeling.

Northlands (1/0) — Yellowhead Hwy. crash kills driver.

PennNat (1/0) — Fightin’ Phils beat visiting Miami, 4-1; Tyler Goeddel homered and had 3 RBIs.

Presque (0/0) — Popeyes opening new resto in Harborcreek.

Thistle (0/0) — Indians hammer host K.C., 11-4; 2 HR and 6 RBI for Tyler Naquin.

Woodbine (1/0) — Blue Jays trounce host Arizona, 10-4; Josh Donaldson homered and drove-in 3 for Toronto.

WMF Report:

Chas. Town 4½f
Evangeline 5f (WMF 1000) (!)
Finger 6f
Gulf 6f
Indiana 6f
PennNat 6f
Prairie 6f

Arlington 1m (T)
Gulf 7½f (T)

Nocturnal Submission: PennNat 2 (6:27 p.m. EDT / 3:27 p.m. PDT) finds #8 Wavy Needle capable of the surprise rally. …Later there, it’s the sixth (8:16 / 5:16), and #1 Headed for Heaven can run to that billing. …

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Later!
