Good afternoon now.

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 6, 7, 9
Gulfstream Park Proper 8, 9
Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds 3, 6, 8

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Golden Gate 5, 6, 8
Hawthorne 3
Keeneland 8, 9, 10, 11
Laurel 6, 7, 9
Lone Star 2, 3, 4, 5, 9
Mahoning 8
Oaklawn 6, 8, 10, 11, 12
Tampa 7, 8, 9
Turf Paradise 2, 5, 6
Woodbine 7, 9, 10

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Aqueduct 7 on the free page. On the pay-side it’s Keeneland 8, 9, 10, Laurel 6, Oaklawn 8, 11.

Wild-open in Fonner 9, wild-open. Bonkers Box of #2 Hero On Saturday (!) and #3 Elmazeed seems as plausible as any other pairing in here. That’s Fonner Park. Make a note of it.

Sidestepping the top two morning-line choices in Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds 5, and preferring #6 San Onofre and #2 Yiannis instead.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (2/1½) — Only High-Octane Chancers plus Old-School Champeens were eligible this time. The former had the opener, given the Dual Qualifier nature of the winner, Unrepented (97, 97), though in a noncontentious race; Unrepented paid $22.40 up top. Then in Race 4, it was time for the Old-School Champeens to kick it wide-open with a straight-up V6 Betting Line ‘A’ Horse, Moss Code, Fair Odds of 4-1 in a contentious lineup, despite having zero LifeLiner credentials behind him; ‘Moss paid $23.20 to win. Good work.

Chas. Town (0/0) — The Marion Co. Sheriff’s Dept. reports that one student has been charged as a juvenile with malicious assault following a fight at No. Marion H.S.

Evangeline (1/1) — Debutante Just Leave had a barely qualifying connection-line readout of 11pc/12pc/N/A in a terribly open affair; Just Leave got up to win by a clean nose at $25.80. Good work.

Fonner (1/0) — A 20-year-old Lincoln man riding an electric scooter was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Yankee Hill Rd. in Lincoln.

Golden Gate (0/0) — Giants lose to host La-La Land, 7-3; San Francisco starter Madison Bumgarner (5 IP, 7 R, 4 ER) dropped to 1-1 on the season.

Gulf (2/2) — Back-to-back jacks for the High-Octane Chancers. In Race 4, there was not a contentious-type Betting Line; however, all the horses were muddled in the 70s on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, with one of those horses being Keepin It Zeal, 45-1. ’Zeal took it all the way to win by 1 at $92.20. In Race 5, publicly touted Michaelslittleally, a flimsy but qualifying 81 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, also went gate-to-wire to win by a clean head at $43.40. The $2 daily double paid $4,399.20. Who knew! Good work.

Hawthorne (2/1) — Lydia’s Angel had the good-enough 82 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, though the race was not contentious. High-Octane Chancers were OK with this and got the $24.20 win mutuel anyway. Good work.

Keeneland (2/0) — Floyd Co. Police are investigating a Friday-night shooting in which 1 was killed and several others were injured.

Los Alamitos Nighttime (1/0) — Ducks open playoffs with loss to visiting Nashville, 3-2; Ryan Getzlaf and Ryan Kesler scored for Anaheim.

Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds (1/0) — See commentary for Los Alamitos Nighttime.

Laurel (3/1) — Race 3 went to Valuetempo, not publicly touted due to an early post time (11:14 a.m. PDT). However, Valuetempo was a Dual Qualifier (99, 96) in a contentious race; he paid $21.60 to win.

Lone Star (2/½) — Old-School Champeens were doing it for themselves in the finale, won by Bat Them Babyblues, $24.20. The race was contentious and Fair Odds of 5-1 on ’Bat suggested a classic overlay scenario, even without any LifeLiner backing. Good work.

Oaklawn (2/1) — Publicly touted Wings Locked Up was a Dual Qualifier (85, 93) in a contentious race; to boot, he was also top of the standard Betting Line at Fair Odds of 4-1. Nobody was missing this guy, ever. ’Wings went to the lead and improved his position from there, winning out by 4¾. There was a $39.20 win mutuel at the end of it. Good work.

PennNat (0/0) — Fightin’ Phils travel to D.C. and lose, 9-1; starter and losing pitcher Jeremy Hellickson was tagged for 5 ER in 3 IP.

Tampa (0/0) — Host Lightning open 2-0 series lead on Detroit, winning 5-2; Tyler Johnson had 2 goals and 2 assists for Tampa.
