Universal City/Studio City Metro Red Line Station

No snow below.

Then again, no snow above, either. Sorry to all the high-octane chancers.

Free ones: Rundown…

Gulfstream Park Proper 6, 7, 8
Santa Anita 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Fair Grounds 2, 4, 8
Golden Gate 5, 7, 8, 9
Sam Houston 1, 2, 5, 8, 9
Mahoning 7, 8
Oaklawn 3, 4, 6, 7, 9
Tampa 7, 10
Turfway 4, 5, 7, 8, 9
Turf Paradise 3, 6, 7, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Pay-side has Sam Houston 8, 9, Tampa 7, Turf Paradise 7.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (1/0) — 16-25 in. for your Saturday

Delta (1/0) — Next big precip set for Tuesday.

Golden Gate (0/0) — El Niño 2016 stronger up North.

Gulfstream (1/1) — Here’s Double Berg, winner of Race 5 at $31.20 up top. She had the best LifeLiner Speed Column analysis rating in the field, though the public tout was not forthcoming, owing to the supposedly strong top pick (2-1 Fair Odds) on the conventional V6 Betting Line. High-octane chancers would have been able to gun the motor and speed to the winner’s circle, though, surely.

Sam Houston (0/0) — No rain in the immediate forecast.

Los Alamitos (0/0) — Sprinkles around noon PST.

Laurel (1/1) — Uh-oh. Race 5 had Marching Charging doing just that to surprise the bettors at $32.80-straight. A true contentious race, this, and ’Marching was the only qualifying scorer (the flat 80!) in the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. Even the Bic® (‘Flick your Bic®!’) disposable-lighter crowd, hindered though they are by the modest amounts of butane fueling their flames, would have picked this one up — no high-octane chancers necessary.

Santa Anita (3/0) — Trace amounts of rain for midday, but nothing phantasmagorical. Imaginary yeti-sightings not part of the Arcadia (Calif.) experience. Regrets.

Sunland (0/0) — As with Delta and Sam Houston, Sunland seems dry and fast all weekend. Go get ’em!

Tampa (0/0) — Early-morning drizzle makes way for cool breezes by post-time. We’ll see.

WMF Report:

Early
Delta 6½f
Mahoning 6f
Santa Anita 1m
Turf Paradise 6f

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Bye-bye.
