One size fits only a select few

Like The Anthrax Store (a k a Anthropologie), except this place is for the Mean Girls…

If the Ladies in Your Life can squeeze into the clothing here, you’re probably doing OK.

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 7, 8, 9
Gulfstream Park Proper 9, 11
Santa Anita 2, 7, 8, 9

Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…

Fair Grounds 4, 6, 9
Golden Gate 4, 8
Laurel 9
Tampa 9
Turfway 8, 9
Turf Paradise 3, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Crazy Race 9 today at Sunland, and the Bonkers Box Special (perhaps) pairs #3 Asnowdream, #6 King of Cool.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (1/½)
— Race 6 shocker acceptable via connection-line percentages; however, the race did not seem contentious, and the winner was way down on the Betting Line. Perhaps too much imagination required.

Chas. Town (0/0) — Three-and-out.

Delta (1/1) — Race 1 winner was good enough on LifeLiner Speed, but the tout would not have been forthcoming, owing to short 3½-1 odds on the morning line; could not forecast a real-life price of 9-1, probably.

Fair Grounds (2/0) — Frozen daiquiris still available in dozens of flavors all over the city.

Golden Gate (1/1) — Yea, verily, a touted winner in Race 5, good for a $74-plus mutuel up top. Classic contentious race with well-placed overlay measuring up on LifeLiner Spread. Once in a while…

Gulf (2/0) — Too tough. Maybe Adam Gase will be able to sort things out.

Los Alamitos (0/0) — Brandy Melville big in the O.C., though closer to the coast than inland.

Laurel (1/1) — Touted Bonkersmate winner here, bottom of Betting Line, but the race was contentious and we had a dual-qualifying LifeLiner Speed and LifeLiner Spread horse at 10-1 on the morning line. This was not hard to pull the trigger on.

Mahoning (1/1) — Top-touted winner in the finale, $23.20 for your win mutuel. Contentious race, top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis rating.

PennNat (3/0) — On the bright side, no one won the Powerball last night, either.

Santa Anita (3/1) — No good on Races 2 & 3, but Race 4 had the great firster Denman’s Call (shoutout to Trev: miss ya, man!). While he was no public tout, he certainly was gettable, especially 22-1. After all, the race was all-over-the-place contentious, and the connection-line figures on him were excellent. The only thing stopping a for-the-record pick? Of course! The lowish 6-1 on the morning line. It happens. Regrets.

Sunland (2/0) — Powerball Jackpot Could Reach $1.3B.

Tampa (2/1) — No dice in Race 3, but Race 8 was a carbon-copy of the Santa Anita explanation; namely, too-low morning-line odds for the tout. However, that should not stop you from looking at the toteboard and sensing the value.

Turfway (1/0) — Close! But no cigar. The $100-plus win mutuel was at 79 on LifeLiner Spread; so near, yet so far. Arbitrary heuristics cost the people in this one. Sorry.

Turf Paradise (4/0) — Ariz. Cardinals still look good for the Super Bowl, no?
