No Free-Page Public Touting for Belmont This Friday or Saturday
Here we are, race fans! Ready for this Saturday’s gallop into history — or near-history?
We will be. Now, if you have ever visited the Cynthia Publishing Company ‘Live Longshots’ Pick of the Day page — and there are at least six or seven of you who do it — you know that one of the tracks covered with our compliments each day is big, beautiful Belmont Park.
However, in a nod to surge pricing (thanks, Über! but also thanks, Breeders’ Cup and Belmont Park!), there will be no free coverage (read: free public touts) for Belmont Park this Friday and Saturday. For many of you, this will be met with a yawn or else outright jubilant celebration.
Of course, the rare misfit amongst yourselves may very well have a conniption fit, but we ourselves are not above gouging. It’s the free-market capitalist solution! Besides, we figure we can loophole out of this, given that we are generally providing much free — if not always useful or helpful — resources to the lookie-loos.
Now, if you would like our gospel analyses for Friday and Saturday and Belmont Park dispensed to yourself, here is what you need to do. We’ll do the expensive option first.
