Scrub over to 13:11 and play out through 14:34. Sanford & Son a good show, not one of those sissie programmes like fruity Friendsz or fruity Froufrou Frasier. Redd Foxx a true comic legend. Long before TV became fetishized and self-obsessed with trying to be hip and ironical or with trying to outsmart everybody through nonstop vulgarity, crudeness and suggestiveness, there were good shows like Sanford & Son. True soul > hyperintelligence.

Turfway 1, 6, 7, 8, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Santa Anita 8 on the free page.

Seems open, but #6 Society Girl should have the good taste to take the eighth at Portland.

Yesterday’s Activity: How ’bout the FA Cup upsets yesterday? Man City out! Chelski out! Liverpuddle held to nil at home. Man U. unable to score away on Friday. Arse up on Sunday, hoping to do a little better than their aforementioned illustrious Premiershipmates.

On the other hoof, good to see Rafa ‘The Bull’ Nadal back on the lawn-tennis courts and applying all manner of racquet terror on his foesz. It bodes well for the Majorcan that his serving has been hard and fast and consistent. Vamos!

WMF Report:
