Golden Gate 8
Sunland 4, 6, 8, 10
Tampa 4, 6, 10
Turfway 1, 2, 6

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: #4 Tiz Midnight should be good enough in Santa Anita 7.

In Sunland 9, singling-out the third-choice on the morning line: #5 Tea Light.

Yesterday’s Activity: As always, Welcome to The Home of The Runner-Up Finish, this time nearly led by Skylander Girl in Gulfstream 8.

Skylander Girl ran to her complete LifeLiner array at 99-97-81, failing to hold off 6-5 fave Parranda, the top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis horse in the field. The saver exacta, 6-5 over 20½-1, paid $68.20, a little stingy. The Bonkersmate in the race, Why Katherine, 20¢ shy of 20-1 on the toteboard, finished third, with your trizacta returning $205.80, for $1.

Two races later, two more touted horseys figured in the trizacta at fat odds. Second Bonkersmate Grand Tito finished second, beaten at 13-1 by the dirty neck of the 19-10 fave, Mshawish. In third was the First Bonkersmate, Fredericksburg, final odds of 46-1. Unfortunately this time, the fave was not gettable via our usual evaluators. Oh, well.

Over in Race 7 at Fair Grounds, 62-1 Ellyn’nslittlestorm was the sole-touted issue. She settled for the place-spot, 1¾ lengths from the winner. Again, no good for that winner, no good in terms of the Betting Line or the LifeLiner. Hoo-boy.

Next race there, three touted horseys, and two of those completed your trizacta at 13-1 and 36-1; respectively, those horses were your Second Bonkersmate Too Cool and your First Bonkersmate Flower Lady. Yet again, no love from the soft-a-ware for your winner. Ugh.

Some small winners among the touted stuff, but the best of those was in your ‘Nocturnal Submission: Freestanding Edition 121’ post. That was the one involving the false fave, the 6-5 Silent Yet Deadly, who laid an egg with a fourth-place finish. ‘Silent was only sixth-best on the conventional V6 Betting Line and seventh-best on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. Yet bestowed upon this horse was the public’s fullest blessing. Yow.

One horse was touted; he won at 5-1, bet-down from 8-1 on your morning line.
