Ah! The best vantage point for observing L.A.’s eternal smog

The rainfall is needed, and another of its welcome side effects is its cleansing of the local air quality. Breathe in!

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 4, 5, 6, 8
Gulfstream Park Proper 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds (Daytime) 4, 9

Pay-side: Today…

Fair Grounds 3, 5, 9
Remington 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
Sunland 7, 8, 10
Turfway 3, 4, 6, 7, 8
Turf Paradise 4, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Aqueduct 8 on the free page. On the pay-side it’s Remington 2, 9, 10, 11.

Over to Portland now, and #1 Dreamstone Cowgirl looks best in Race 5. Similar strength shown by the also-obvious #5 Kozzys Kitkat in the sixth there. Ditto #6 Carl Command in Race 8 and #2 Maddie’s Gold in the ninth.

Yesterday’s Activity: Top winner on your Saturday came in Remington 7 via sole-touted Real Appeal Deal.

The race was mildly contentious, and the beaten 7-10 fave was not a runaway on the conventional V6 Betting Line or on the Pace Graph or on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. Odds-on was perhaps optimistic on the public’s part.

Real Appeal Deal had nothing to offer on the conventional Betting Line, but the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis put him in the hunt, and he was able to rally the way his complete LifeLiner array of 64-72-88 suggested he might. He won by nearly 2 lengths and paid $32.20 up top.

Race 8 there was wildly contentious, with no horseys getting any Fair Odds designations on the conventional Betting Line. The lukewarm 2-1 fave was a coupled entry, neither of whom could crack the top 3 of your LifeLiner Speed Column analysis.

The play ended up being Bonkersmate Tensaw at 21-1 in real life, from a 15-1 morning line. He could not win, but he managed a good, honourable second behind the 3-1 winner, who turned out to have the top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis score in the field. The chalk-omitting saver exacta came back $137-even.
