Welcome to your Labour Day Weekend. Here’s the famous Leftist Band from Athens, Ga. Their presentation here is not quite ‘Sixteen Tons’; rather, it’s more fitting of an assembly line or a chain gang or both.

Free ones: Rundown…

Saratoga Race Course 6, 10, 11
Gulf 2, 9, 10
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 3, 4, 6

Pay-side: Today…

Arlington 1, 8, 9
BelTerra 7, 8
Ellis Park 8
Louisiana 8, 9
Monmouth 9, 10
Remington 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9
Woodbine 4, 6

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 6, Saratoga Race Course 10 on the free page. On the pay-side is Remington 8.

Yesterday’s Activity: I Wish took the sixth at Delpark at $4.20 up top. Those are odds of 11-10. How is this possible? There were three horses ahead of I Wish on the morning line. How?

Ugh. It took touting four horseys to get to the winner of Remington 4, Made by Magic. The mutuel was $17.20. ’Magic was 10-1 on the morning line and a first-time starter atop the V6 Betting Line, Fair Odds of 8-5 (!) and with a connections-line of 18pc/15pc/20pc.

In the eighth there, sole-touted Hollywood Knockout won at 20¢ shy of an even $20 up top. ’Knockout was 15-1 on the morning line.

All right, all right, ya loversz of Thoroughbred horserace handicapping and wagering, take it easy! We shall try to provide more satisfaction to yourselves throughout your long holiday weekend. Peace out!
