All right, all right, ya Prog Rock loversz! Take it easy. This is for our brothers in democracy in Ukraine. Godspeed!

Some rightwingers in this country seem to adore Putin just because he invades a neighboring country, looking to annex it, flexing his might-makes-right muscle. You know who else did that? Think Sept. 1, 1939. Also, recall a related fat fascist to the south who fought against stick-bearing Ethiopians.

History is a good teacher, except no one can stop shouting (blogging? tweeting? bloviating? punditing?) long enough for its lessons to be heard.

Free ones: Rundown…

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: One today at Saratoga Race Course, but too late for inclusion here. Regretsz!

Yesterday’s Activity: Had to wait to the last race at Del Mar, the last touted horsey, Bonkersmate Devil’s Beauty, but he came through with the walk-off homerun.

Devil’s Beauty, a first-time starter at 12-1 on the morning line in a contentious race, went off at 23-1, despite having a satisfactory connections-line of 16pc/12pc/22pc.

Devil’s Beauty won by 2¼ lengths at $48.80 straight.

The top LifeLiner Speed Column horsey in the field, the 2-1 second-choice in the race, completed the gettable $233.20 exacta.

Again, this took place in the day’s final event at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, thus making it one of ’em KING OF THE NIGHTCAP NETCAPPER BULLIESZ Specialsz. BULLIESZ!

In Race 2 at Suffolk, sole-touted Bucks Wink rallied like the champion he once was on the way to becoming.

Bucks Wink, 8-1 on your morning line and 14-1 in real life, ran to his complete LifeLiner array of 60-63-92 to make up 8 lengths in the final furlong to win by a full length at $30-even. God Bless Armenia!
