Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Bel 7 is on the free page.

Uh-oh. #6 Real Solution is one of ’em Triple Threat Horseys in Bel 9.

Tiptoeing around the first two choices on your morning line in Presque Isle 5 (hello, Erie!), going with #8 Norquay and #6 Secret Kitten.

Yesterday’s Activity: Topping today’s recap, a touted triple-digit win mutuel.

That was in Pimlico 2, Victoria Gallops, $145-even.

Victoria Gallops, 30-1 on your morning line and neglected by the conventional V6 Betting Line, nonetheless got a mention in the calculations via the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, scoring 92 there, best in the field. Best! Howzat!

It probably was the trainer, zip-for-22, and the jockey, a 4pc hit-rate. They had never teamed up before Victoria Gallops, so at least they were a perfect 0-for-0 there. And now they are 1-for-1. They can lose their next 71 tries together and still be assured of being a plus-ROI tandem.

Other winners included:

Calder 8, Seduccion, $10.60
BelTerra 6, Alone Again, $7.80

Plus the usual smattering of last-place finishes, Honourable Mention runner-up efforts and various assorted heartaches.

But thank you to Victoria Gallops for providing the bright spot on the day.
