Today’s Stakes Pageantry: GP 7 on the free page. So is SA 7.

Live third-choice on your morning line in LS 5: #6 Swifterthantaylor.

Yesterday’s Activity: See, you come back one day later and it’s like Longshot Central. Up-and-down, boom-and-bust, roller-coaster touting. Of course, this is the very sort of thing you must expect when playing wild-priced horseys. Not for the faint of heart!

Just when it looked like we might never hit a winner ever at the new BelTerra Park in Zinzinnati — after a horrible Day 1 there — things get better less than 24 hours later.

Bonkersmate Mandabull came through in Race 1 yesterday at the BelTerra, $32.40 up top. Mandabull, 6-1 Fair Odds on the Betting Line in a contentious race and 8-1 on the morning line, was your top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis horsey in the field. The exacta was completed by the 8-5 fave, also LifeLiner Speed Column-compliant. It paid $77.80.

Two other races were touted over at the BelTerra, and one of those races was Race 4, won by 13-10 fave Best Air. Best Air was a touted horsey, morning line of 12-1 (12-1!). But Best Air was one of ’em Triple Threat Horseys. Maybe we have an overzealous V6 Triple Threat Horsey adherent doing the job over there in Cincy. Probably not.

Then in the nightcap there, it was a KING OF THE NETCAPPER BULLIESZ special, courtesy of Catch the Cactus, bet-down to 3½-1 from a morning line of 10-1. So, a clean sweep of the three touted races at the BelTerra, consisting of one bet-up and two bet-downs.

Other touted winners:

Belmont 4, Magnificent Moon, $11.80
Gulf 7, Ray’s Back, $26.20
WO 5, Bonkersmate Janbear, $25.70
WO 7, Bonkersmate Danaher, $20.50

Several last-place finishes, too, and, of course, your usual placement (place-ment!) of Honourable Mention runner-up efforts at big odds.

As well, how about that crazy stuff at Prairie Meadows last night in the stakes race! And a clean sweep at Horsemen’s, thanks to this here Weblog, two separate posts.
