Madam! Kindly keep your excitement to yourself. Please! Tyvm.

Yesterday, the Bard. Today, even better. Today, yea, verily, the One-Eyed Pug! Many happy returns, you 13-year-old dog, you! Allah bless you!

Big big day here in La-Land, as the Armenians are waving flags and taking to the streets in Glendale and well beyond to commemorate how the genocidal Turks tried to wipe them out from the old country circa 19-teens.

And, of course, the One-Eyed Pug is 13 today! Thirteen! My goodness how time flies. At the insistence of the Hebrew side of her parentage, she will mark her coming of age with a Bark Mitzvah (Bat Bitchvah?) on Saturday. Mazel!

Now it is apparent where she gets that snippy-snappy yippy-yappy side of her! This is the side to which we are constantly threatening: ‘All right, all right, ya crazy canine! Take it easy! Don’t make me harm you!’.

Our contribution to her character: She sleeps 18 hours a day!

Or something like that!

Free ones: Rundown…

Frantic City 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Aqueduct 8

Yes, today is a big day all over. Beloved ol’s Frantic City, McKee City/Mays Landing, N.J., opens its annual turf-only meet today. Six days of a recognition of past glories. Frantic City! Bob Levy, represent!

Pay-side: Today…

Keeneland 1, 2, 4, 6
Lone Star 1, 4, 5, 8
Pimlico 2, 3, 5, 7

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Race 8 at Kee, 12 furlongs on the grass. Uh-oh. #9 Romantica is one of ’em Triple Threat Horseys. Hoo-boy. Now what?

Yesterday’s Activity: The HONEYMAN® was there!

From here:

Haw 9 had top-touted Cotton Candy Kid coming through at a bet-down $13.60, from a morning line of 8-1.

First-timer, this Cotton Candy Kid, 17pc/11pc/35pc on the connections line. Good enough.

Wow. He won by 5¼-lengths. He’s an $8,000 maiden-claimer, by golly. The 13-10 fave and top LifeLiner Speed Column Analysis horsey ran second, and the exacta paid $33.40.

The HONEYMAN® and his buddies took down the heavy-action Thatboathassailed in the Kee opener, $11.20 from 8-1 on the morning line. Thanks! Thanks a lot!

Yes in Race 4 to Second Bonkersmate Liz Pendens, $19-even. Another HONEYMAN® blab-out special. Yikesz! ‘Liz was 12-1 on the morning line and won by a dirty nose.
