Tug was one of our favourite players growing up. Then he got traded to the Philsz along with Dave Schneck and Don Hahn and we could root for the Tugger again. It was too perfect, and it all came round in 1980.

Yes, the organist at the old Vet also played ‘Irish Washerwoman’ when Tug came strolling in from the bullpen. Very early on, they had those mod bullpen carts with the giant baseball cap for a roof, remember those?
