Today’s Stakes Pageantry: There was one today, Aqu 8, and the morning line fave was one of ’em Triple Threat Horseys. He won at 50¢ to the dollar. Sorry.

Yesterday’s Activity: Needing a bailout from ‘Nocturnal Submission’ last night.

Over to Race 6 there, in which two horseys were presented for touting. One of those was Holy Snip, bottom of the V6 Betting Line but right on the Line of Demarcation for LifeLine Speed Column contender status: 80.

As we always do in these ‘Nocturnal Submission’ touts, we scout out races in which the morning-line fave is triply vulnerable: not in the top three in the Betting Line, no Fair Odds on that Betting Line, not in the top three in LifeLiner Speed. So it was for the morning-line fave in this race; said fave went off at 9-5 on the toteboard.

Back to Holy Snip, 15-1 on the morning line. When the bell rang, he was 20¢ shy of 35-1 in real life. The chartcaller’s chart of the race was obscured by “dense fog”. Maybe Holy Snip joined in at the eighth pole! Like that Louisiana fog race with Sylvester Carmouche! Remember that hinky race?! Edwin Edwards & Louisiana #1 alwayszzzz! Luzianne! L’aissez les bon temps rouler, cher! Luzianne Larceny! Zydeco! Varicot! Green beansz!

Holy Snip, however he did it, won by 4 lengths to pay $71.60 up top. Triply vulnerable morning-line fave finished third.
