Fred Barnes. He’s getting away with a bad prediction. He needs to be called on it.
D. Morris, Cal Rove, Newton G., all made mea culpas (well, Cal Rove, not so much; denial over truth; belief over facts, etc. and so forth and so on, ad infinitum). But what about Hon. J. Frederick Barnes III, Esq.? Why is he not accountable?
He comes across as establishment, even though he was writing for The New Republic many years ago. Between the hornrimmed turtle-shell spectacles and the Oxford-cloth button-down-collar shirts and rep(p) neckties from the Brooks Bros., he comports himself as a voice of reason. Indeed, F. Barnes looks like Warren Buffett — and he always has! He was looking like Warren Buffett before almost anyone knew who Warren Buffett was!
Barnes made a very bad prediction, shocking for someone who wears turtle-shell hornrimmed spectacles and Oxford-cloth button-down-collar shirts and rep(p) neckties from the Brooks Bros. Please let him know. Tyvm. Otherwise, we might have to make him surrender the traditional clothing for those mod-hip, slim-fitting designer suits so many hack mopesz are preferring nowadaysz. Tyvm.
(Ugh. Fashion is temporary; style is permanent. Form is temporary; class is permanent. Gimmick handicapping outfits rage today; Cynthia Publishing Co. endures world without end, albeit a little gimpy and wheezy, rheumy-eyed in the morning-time, despite intermittent fasting and HGH-release via HIIT. According to the New Order electronic-pop band, “When something’s good, it’s never gone.” Thank you, Boccaccio. Thank you, Beethoven. Thank you, J! television programme.)
A good way to think about form v. class is to consider Bernard King, ex-NBA player. You couldn’t hold him down for a few years there in the 1980s. He was THE KING. Now compare King to Larry Legend. King was FORM, Bird was CLASS. No one talks about Bernard King that much anymore; Larry Legend, on either hand, will be living up to his nickname forever and ever, amen to Allah.
TV Shows: Murphy Brown, Mad About You (both FORM) v. I Love Lucy, M*A*S*H (class).
Mike Trout in the professional baseball right now, he could be one of those very rare true living legends if his head stays screwed on and he doesn’t succumb to the temptations of the O.C., either its trailer parksz or its sandy beaches, both exist in that interesting O.C., and both are potential downfalls.
Female politicians: Gov. S. Palinsky (form) v. P.M. M. Thatcher (ruling class).
Gameshows: Deal or No Deal (form) v. (what else?) J! (CLASS ALL CLASS NOTHING BUT CLASS CLASS OUT THE you-know-what).
