Your Saturday Stakes Sweep: September 3, 2011

Pay-side folks in store for a shocker (we hope) in the eighth at Arlington, the Grade III Wash. Pk. H.

Elsewhere, it looks awfully strong for #5 Motovato in Calder’s seventh, the Darn That Alarm. Anything else in that one would be the proverbial trying-to-drown-a-shark attempt.

Here’s a free one for the lookie-loos: Race 6 at the Western Spa, the Windy Sands.

Open affair in the feature there, the Grade I Debutante. In it, tepid support for the obvious #6 Weemissfrankie.

Chalk on offer in the Grade III Sapling, the ninth at Monmouth: #1 Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Also predicted: Squirrel Nut Zippers with an up-the-track finish.

Pay-side joy for the eighth at Remington, the Ricks Mem.

Four stakes on tap at the Swampatoga, and already we have lost one of them. And, sorry, they are not amenable to our preferred style of touting. Next time!

Stepping out a little in the eighth at Columbus, the Bill Caillhan. #1 B G New Idea can post the upset.

Also some mild surprise potential for Ruidoso’s 11th, the T-bred Dby. We prefer Dos Equis — um, make that #3 Ultimate Question, not to be confused with Final Jeopardy!

Bye-bye. Best wishes for a prosperous Saturday.
