Well, the scholar and gentleman in the snapshot is none other than young Samuel Alexander Mitchell, no longer an ice-hockey prodigy or a genius pianist but rather, as of Friday, May 13, 2011, a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business with a baccalaureate magna cum laude in Business Administration. ’gratz!

Additionally, of the Marshall School’s 936 baccalaureate graduates in 2011, Mr. Mitchell was one of only three attaining the distinction of Discovery Scholar, awarded for “exceptional original scholarship or creative work.”

Sadly, Mr. Mitchell will not be undertaking any creative work or generating any money-spinning ideas on behalf of his longtime sponsors at Cynthia Publishing Company. Rather, he will begin his business career this summer at an investment bank based in Century City.
