Watson Week! The 5-Figure Score…

All right, ya J!-lovin’ horserace-handicappin’ fansz! When’s the last time you stood to win nearly $14,000 on a daily double?

Probably never, since it’s easier to rake in the dough via the superzactas and big 6s. Nonetheless, we once again thank our good friends at the J! Archive for this memorable blast from the past.

The game in question was played on Jan. 21, 2010. It was one of those drowsy Celebrity spectacles, though one made watchable by the appearance of the beautiful and talented Ms. Elizabeth Perkins at the middle podium. (YEAH! PODIUM! LECTERNS ARE FOR READERS!)

Anyway, it was late in the match, and Ms. Perkins had to catch up to the surprise runaway leader, Mr. Vanna White. Could you have connected on this “true” daily double, found during the Double Jeopardy! round in the $1,600 box of the “Remembering Ted Kennedy” category?

Remember, it was a celebrity match, so don’t psyche yourself out.

In the end, we prefer to think that all readers of this here Weblog also got it right!
