Z. Dr. Zed

It’s a day of hyperexotics, certainly, but you can hide a lot easier in the place-and-show pools today.

In the Juvenile, Uncle Mo was everybody’s favourite. The result, in hindsight, made the win-price seem an overlay, but the backholes had that calculable edge.

Score one for the math-and-formulae nerdsz. Yes, a positive-expectation play to place and show on this unbeatable (again, in hindsight) prohibitive selection.

In contrast, the Dr. Zed computations on the longer-priced second-choice, Boys at Toscanova, were negative for place and only half as good as Uncle Mo for show.

Lots of posts these days starting with “Z”. Wonder why. Today, the Z Party is plenty stronger than that one beginning with “T”.

Bye-bye.
