Trevor Denman is the best, but he’s a little tone-deaf when it comes to marrying the moment to the call.

No doubt, in tomorrow’s Juvenile when one of the Euro imports takes the lead in the stretch, Mr. Denman will have something thrilling to utter, but it is likely to be a bit generic.

Unlike what our imagined call with Mr. Durkin at the mic might yield:

“And they’ve all got to CHASE UTLEY!”

The horsey is, after all, named after the laid-back second baseman for the Fightin’ Philadelphia Phillies.
