The New York Times has been doing us a literary service all week, what with Jane Smiley contributing to their “Rail” blog and now the esteemed Bill Barich offering his two bucks.

The Barich piece, available here is in praise of the friendly local bookmaker, legal, of course, on that side of the Water.
