WMF Report: Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010

Hey, it’s Wednesday, and it’s the start of new racing week. Here’s the latest track-trend information.

Looks good for closers of all kinds at Belmont, where the day’s highest WMF is the shockingly low WMF 92 at 6f.

Nothing in the way of the early-speedsters at Beulah at 6f, courtesy of a blazing WMF 350.

Ditto at Chas. Town‘s 4½f and its persistent up-front state, WMF 900 now.

Welcome aboard, Delta!

At Delpark, we have all speed, all the time — well, at least in Races 1-5, all at 6f, all at WMF 255.

At Golden Gate, things have quieted down considerably at 6f, down to WMF 107 there. However, Big Time Timmy Jim and the notorious Phillie-killer Juan Uribe (Juan-fracking-Uribe, that is!) are ready to rock on, Chaka Khan! (Sorry, but the Boys in the Backroom show no signs of shaking what they call their “healthful mistrust” of anything having to do with Tejas! Yee-haw! How ’bout dem Cowpokesz!)

Frontrunners are going to have their hooves full at 1 1/16m at Hawthorne and its microscopic WMF 17; even crazier is the PCP 11.47 at that trip!

More wackiness at OakPark@Hollytree, thanks to the WMF 44 at 6f and a higher WMF 52 at 1 1/16m. And don’t forget that scintillating WMF 300 at 6f — turf!

Keeneland registers a typical WMF 50 at 6f.

Now the rally is preferred at Laurel. zOMG.

PennNat‘s 6f remains in suspended animation, WMF 140.

For now, the lead is OK at 6f at frequently sloshy Portland (Ore.), WMF 171.

Defying the normal patterns at Remington is the 6½f, now up to WMF 112.

Top speed trip at Suffolk is the decent (but not prohibitive) WMF 214 at 5½f.

Two-turn speed alert! Both at Thistle: WMF 169 at 1m70y, and WMF 150 at the flat-1m.

As usual, better to maintain something for the late-stages at Woodbine
