Your Saturday Stakes Sweep: Oct. 9, 2010

Always love it when a morning-line favorite ends up buried in the All-In-One V6 Betting Line and the race comes up wildly contentious. Bombs away!

Here it is in the seventh at Belmont today, the Grade I Jamaica, where the track oddsmaker’s selection, #9 Krypton, comes in no better than fifth on the Betting Line.

Classic V6 top selection is #10 Teaks North while LifeLine can go up to three deep via #4 Center Divider, #7 Prince Will I Am and #8 Two Notch Road.

On the other hoof, #1 Uncle Mo looks extra-tough in the ninth, the Grade I Champagne. Both classic V6 and LifeLiner give him prohibitive status.

Excellent longshot stakes action all afternoon at Keeneland, but the eighth is the Grade I First Lady Stakes. (Even in the age of [Michelle] Obama, it sounds weird to call it by its sponsored name, the Abu Dhabi First Lady Stakes.)

This one is a toss-up, and #6 Kiss Mine has a strong overlay chance. Kiss Mine also shows up in the LifeLiner Top 3 Speed column, along with the morning line’s star duo, #8 Wasted Tears and #7 Proviso.

Another scramble on in the ninth, the Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity. V6 prefers #5 Brickyard Fast. LifeLiner goes ‘Fast, too, and has some love for #8 Maybesomaybenot and #6 Lou Brissie.

Finally, out west to Albuquerque (en route to Pismo Beach, right, Bugs?) and the featured eighth race, the UNM H. We’ll go LifeLiner here and the crucial three of #7 Brother John D., #1 Silver Matthais and #6 Some Ghost.

Best wishes for a prosperous Saturday!
