Your Holiday Stakes Sweep: Monday, May 30, 2011

Twenty-five — count ’em — added-money events for your Memorial Day…

No, we shall not prattle on about all of them — only 24.

No again. Busted! At any rate, here goes.

The ninth at Belmont is the Grade II Sands Point, and #6 Winter Memories is probably unbeatable. Uh-huh.

The Metropolitan Handicap (a k a Met Mile) is Race 10 there, and potential upsetters include #5 Caixa Eletronica and #11 Tizway.

Pretty open in Calder’s ninth, the Memorial Day, and #4 Motovato has as good a chance as any.

The ninth at Hollypark is the Grade I Gamely, and you can probably beat the morning-line choice. Zongo try from #1 Eclair de Lune this time.

Lone Star’s seventh is the Cinemine. In it, #3 Grandacious can topple the public choice.

The Skip Away is Monmouth’s sixth. There, #3 Christmas for Liam will be difficult to deny.

Strong-favorite play in Prairie’s seventh, the Express, where #4 Native Ruler looks sturdy.

Finally, the Grade III Berkeley is the eighth today at Golden Gate. We prefer #6 Our Nautique to anything else.

Best wishes for a prosperous Memorial Day Monday.
