Happy [deleted] Mardi Gras! Nine mins. remaining!

Lost in the hoopla of yesterday’s throwball extravaganza was your No. London Arse’s 6-nil thrashing of host West Ham United. The screamer shown in today’s video lede was the final goal of the match, scored by this season’s marquee signing, Declan Rice…RICE! This was a belter!

Back down to Earth somewhat in the still-standing Hollywood Hills of Upper Nichols Canyon, elev. 1,133 ft.

Many went skiing today on Buttermilk Mtn., Pitkin Co., Colo., but we were not among them. Overall, there were three full-day sessions on the slopes, and they were great fun.

Shown here is a telephoto snap, from February 2023, of Pyramid Peak in the Elk Mtns., Pitkin Co., Colo.; when the snap was taken, the photographer (in a manner of speaking) was situated on the slopes of Buttermilk Mtn., approx. 10 mi. away (as the crow flies).

Saturday!

Cole Porter, ever heard of him? No? Well, certainly the name Miss Ella Fitzgerald must ring a bell, yeah? Of course!

Add’l big storms forthcoming…

All right, all right, ya’ fans of Peak Prestige TV of The Golden Age! Take it easy! We are not big on the TV in general, except maybe for QVC & PBS & TCM — no wonder we are so dull! At any rate, between the precious & petulant prissiness of Truman Capote and the catty constellation of 1980s & 1990s female screen stars assigned to portray his high-society playmates, we have no option but to see what this series is all about. It starts this evening, in approx. 90 mins. from now, at 10 p.m. PST. Here’s to Sally Tomato etc.
