
Last night was the last show of the amphitheater subscription season. The great Dudamel, on his way slowly but surely to New York City though not before enjoying a long & deservedly fond sendoff from the Southern California faithful, was at the helm for a Mexican-themed program, the first half of which was orchestral fare from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. And in the second half, it was the wildly popular Natalia Lafourcade sending her thousands of fanaticos into raptures. In today’s snapshot lede, the evening’s two principals are shown sharing heartfelt words between numbers.
