Getting there!

Good afternoon still from the mild & Golden West, where jacaranda season is in-bloom in many parts of the County of Los Angeles in sunny Southern California. Pictured in today’s snapshot lede is the taller of the two trees gracing the front of the Worldwide Home Office Headquarters in Upper Nichols Canyon, just above the flats of Studio City. When the blooms get to this stage of the game, the purple mountains majesty is just about to explode. Come on! One time!

From yesterday’s (Monday’s) activity…

The Canandaigua, N.Y., opener had #1 Olazabal (.305 Win Prob / 2.28-1 Fair Odds / 2.84-1 Premium Odds) winning it for his golfing namesake José María at $10.12; two races later there, #3 Savage State (.238 / 3.20 / 4.04) displayed same in defeating his foes at $16-even

#6 Thousands of Hopes (.221 / 3.52 / 4.29) took the fifth from Shelbyville, Ind., at an unimpeachable $10.20.

Down to Bossier City, La., where #5 Mary Claire (.363 / 1.75 / 2.31) was best in Race 4 at $6-even; in your Race 7 finale there, #1 Myrna (.151 / 5.62 / 6.95) was a speed-burna at $16.40; your winning $46-even exacta had a premium price of $41.83 and was completed by #4 Mothertwotheblues (.379 / 1.64 / 2.01).

In Race 3 at New Cumberland, W.Va., #7 Silver Wishes (.388 / 1.58 / 1.94) grabbed the gold at $6.20

OK. That takes care of all the previous days’ housekeeping, a two-post process, apparently. Now we get to today (Tuesday), with some of your races going this way…
