Goodbye Week continues apace now. While we were expecting your No. London Arse to bid farewell to their next chance at hardware this season, their 1-all draw in this evening’s first leg of their Champions League semifinal means that they will force us into yet a few more days of enduring their unique brand of exquisite sporture. Nonetheless, we say goodbye to the good man in today’s video lede; he won 31 games in a row before being stopped by some oddball chess personality (are there ever any grandmaster-level chess players who are NOT ODDBALLS? NO, THERE ARE NOT! THEY ARE ALL ODDBALLS, and THIS GUY IS RELATABLE TO THE HOI POLLOI, TOO, FOR REASONS OTHER THAN CHESS, WHICH OF COURSE MAKES HIM AN ODDBALL EVEN IN RELATION TO THE USUAL HIGH ODDBALL STANDARDS OF ODDBALL GRANDMASTER-LEVEL CHESS PEOPLE! WHILE MOST CHESS GRANDMASTERS ARE PLAYING REGULAR-OLD ODDBALL, THIS GUY IS PLAYING 4-D ODDBALL REALLY; THINK ABOUT IT, 4-D ODDBALL).
Why not? Why not let the nonwhite immigrants do some good things every now & again so that maybe the white immigrants (yea, verily, remember the Natives were here way-first!) can ease off of their seemingly neverending criticisms of the nonwhite immigrants? All these geography bees & spelling bees for the kids, it’s nice to see these nonwhite immigrants doing a good job — and English isn’t even their first language! Come on, white immigrants to America! That’s a real bootstrap story if ever there was one. Since you white immigrants have been speaking American for generations upon generations, shouldn’t your people there be winning all these grammar & spelling competitions? What’s up with that!
A couple of late-issues from last night’s (Tuesday’s) action at The Mountain, where Race 4 had #8 Mornin’ Boss (.275 Win Prob / 2.64-1 Fair Odds / 3.36-1 Premium Odds) still running things in the evening at $10-even; next race there, #9 Hero’s Man (.233 / 3.29 / 4.15) ran to that billing at $18.20; #8 Out of Cents (.220 / 3.55 / 4.45) completed your winning $53-even exacta whose premium price was $45.23. (As for the daily double on those consecutive races, well, it did not exist, was not offered — natch!)
As for today, some of your races went like this…
At Louisville, Kyl, #3 Go Go Playmate (.179 / 4.59 / 5.54) took the fifth at an unimpeachable $12.58. Then in your Race 10 finale, #10 Kittens Stormy Gal (.109 / 8.17 / 10.01) roared to the shocker at $55.54; #9 Twolatebabydoll (.187 / 4.35 / 5.10) completed your winning $207.48 exacta whose premium price was $122.12.
At Shelbyville, Ind., #1 Sound Doctrine (.178 / 4.62 / 5.74) made the most noise in Race 4 at $12.60; #3 Spotonjustice (.222 / 3.50 / 4.27) completed your winning $70.80 exacta whose premium price was $60.49.
At Oldsmar, Fla., #5 Mystic Isle (.205 / 3.88 / 4.71) and #2 Gold Rules (.154 / 5.49 / 6.79) combined on your winning Race 5 exacta at $136.80, with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $73.38.
The only after-dark game in town tonight is Evangeline. Here’s a handful…
