Well, it’s Opening Day for reals now, and how can you not get excited about it when this kind of thing happens for your team in their second at-bat of the season?!
The hometown Phightin Phils added another big home run — a three-run shot from Alec Bohm — to make it 5-nil for most of the rest of the contest. This was all in support of ace Cristopher Sanchez, who was shoving in six innings of 10-strikeout shutout ball. However, the bottom of the ninth was a bit of a misadventure, with the visiting Rangers pushing three across the plate, but the all-world Jhoan Durán was summoned to restore order, and the Philadelphians stayed on-course to go 162-0 on the season. Ring the Bell!

Game 2 on the season is on Saturday, following the obligatory East Coast odd April day off tomorrow.
