Gratuitous Horse Racing Tweet of Your Day:

Fair-play to the Barrister

Wired: Fairatoga!

BestLine Racing Society Recap:

At Queen Ziti Zinzinnati Porkopolis, #3 D’ Pistol (.466 / 1.15 / 1.58) fired best in Race 2 at $5.60. In Race 4, #2 Double Advantage (.331 / 2.02 / 2.63) ran to that billing at $10-even.

At Stanton, Del., #3 Wise Miss (.460 / 1.17 / 1.61) won a Race 5 lousy with first-timers at $9-even.

At Del Mar, Calif., #5 Nesso’s Lastharrah (.422 / 1.37 / 1.84) had the last laugh as well in Race 4 at $6.20.

At Auburn, Wash., it was #1 Rafanelli (.238 / 3.20 / 4.88) winning Race 5 for the winery in Healdsburg, Calif., at $13.80. In Race 6, #6 Willing to Burn (.179 / 4.59 / 6.82) lit-up the field at $16.82.

At Hallandale Beach, Fla., the opener was lousy with first-timers, allowing #2 Garuda (.389 / 1.57 / 2.08) to get away at a pretty-good win price of $7.20. In Race 4, #1 Copperlite (.314 / 2.18 / 2.82) played the heavy at $7.60 — granted, this was 4¢ shy of the premium price of $7.64; however, we could not blame you if you decided to leave those four pennies as A Tribute Upon The Altar of The God of Doing Business Via The Parimutuels. We report, you decide! Next race there, #6 Miss Mary Nell (.269 / 2.72 / 3.46) rang the bell at $9.80; your winning $40-even daily double had a premium price of $34.07.

At Vancouver, B.C., #6 Cobra Jet (.356 / 1.81 / 2.37) won Race 2 for the cinematic tour de force Snakes On a Plane at $7.40.

At Laurel, Md., Race 4 was lousy with first-timers, so #3 Beautiful Blome (.823 / 0.22 / 0.46) scored the sorry-not-sorry win at $4.20. In Race 7, #5 Divine Grace (.459 / 1.18 / 1.61) won it for the late, great Princess of Monaco at $6-even.

At Oceanport, N.J., #10 Bingo’s Boy (.176 / 4.68 / 6.95) completed the winning line in Race 8 at $24.40.

At Swampatoga Geysers, N.Y., #2 Showcase (.320 / 2.13 / 2.75) won the race (Race 8, that is) at $8.70.

At Santa Rosa / Williams-Sonoma, #1 Mount Pelliar (.234 / 3.27 / 4.98) won Race 3 for dodgy spellers in Vermont & France at $28.60.

At No. Randall, Ohio, #2 Clean Machine (.905 / 0.10 / 0.33) won a Race 6 lousy with first-timers at $5-even.
