A couple of post-press-time connections to report from last night’s (Sunday’s) late action: At Auburn, Wash., #6 Lapush (.387 Win Prob / 1.58-1 Fair Odds / 2.10-1 Premium Odds) won Race 5 for the Quillayute River in the State of Washington at $14.28. At Altoona, Iowa, #6 Esprit Rouge (.253 / 2.95 / 3.74) won Race 9 for red wine at $17.60.

Beginning today in The Bluegrass State of Kentucky, the hick burg of Henderson specifically, where the opener went to #8 Spycraft (.285 / 2.51 / 3.21), who won it for Kim Philby at $16-even.
Over the border for a Canadian stop now: Fort Erie, Ont.; there, Race 2 was won by the aptly named #1 Heezespeedy (.270 / 2.70 / 3.44) at $17.80.
To Canandaigua, N.Y., whose Race 3 had #6 Wartapped (.317 / 2.15 / 2.79) and #5 Forty Smooth (.498 / 1.01 / 1.41) combining on your winning $16-even exacta whose premium price was $13.44. In Race 8, #4 Love My Candy (.194 / 4.15 / 5.19) proved a sweet treat to her backers at $15.20.
